Stir fried Chinese spinach
Profile#
This spinach prepared in a for Europeans completely different way tastes really good. The important thing here is the sauce with which the individual leaves are coated. It can also be used for completely different leafy vegetables like pak choi, water spinach, etc. You can also mix it right away in larger quantities to put in portioning bottles for next time.
Ingredients#
- 1 bunch Chinese spinach or another Asian leafy vegetable
- 2 garlic cloves
- Optional 1 Chili
For the sauce#
- 2 TBSP oyster sauce
- 1 TSP light soy sauce
- 1⁄2 TSP sesame oil
- Salt, pepper
Let’s go#
First, mix together the ingredients for the sauce. As I said, you can make some more right away to keep for next time.
Wash the spinach and spin dry.
Place in a bowl and mix thoroughly with the sauce. There should be some coating of the sauce on all the leaves.
Heat the wok or a pan to medium high heat and sauté the spinach, garlic and chilies in just a little oil. This goes really fast, so stir a lot.
Done. The whole thing takes no more than 5 minutes.
